Landfall Greifswald (after Caspar David Friedrich) (2014)

is the first work to emerge out of a research project on the Nord Stream Pipeline. It deals with the place where the Russian gas-pipeline comes onto European shore, namely Greifswald, Germany.
The installation is build up out of a display table with two prints showing a painting by Caspar David Friedrich and a promotional photo by the Nord Stream Company. Next to this is a replica of a display that can be found in the Pommersches Landesmuseum. Dotted around the table, on the ground, are photo's taken by the artist at the site where the pipeline comes onto shore.

- This work was made possible with the generous support of the Artists’ Development Programme by the European Investment Bank Institute.
